Chichester Pilot
The 'Chichester Pilot',a Harbour Launch (prototype hull) was launched for the first time on January 6th 2005. Photographs and movies taken at the launch of the prototype and some renderings from our CAD(Computer aided design) system and a test report in the gallery. This is very much a traditional looking, light displacement 'Harbour Launch' with slightly more modern underwater shape, but still retaining a traditional look above the waterline. Specification: Standard features: the 'Pilot' is powered by a 35hp Beta Marine inboard diesel engine. Heavy duty GRP Self draining hull (white,oxford blue,light grey and off-white), non-slip decks (white,grey or off-white), Wheel steering, 2 berths with separate toilet(electric) compartment. 60 ltr fuel tank, Stainless steel keel band, Rubbing strake in teak or PVC/Rubber 'D' section. 4 heavy duty alluminium deck cleats and 2 bow fairleads, bilge pump, 85ah battery, Tacho and hour meter, Stainless steel rudder shaft (inboard), FRP rudder and stern tubes with non greasing low maintainence bearings We are currently constructing the cabin mouldings and the boat will be available for the 2008 season. |
